Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Today I am hopping with some demonstrator friends along the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration related to CAS(e)ing the Catalog. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
Today is all about CAS(e)ing the Stampin' Up! Catalogs whether it's the Annual Catalog or the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog. I chose to CAS(e) the square card from page 60 of the Mini Catalog!
Project Details
I chose to feature the soon to be retiring 2023-2025 In Colors™for this fun challenge. The inspirational card on page 60 features Moody Mauve and heat embossing. I chose to simply stamp the images as I just had to use all five of the colors! I ran out of daylight to photograph them all as shoveling slush this afternoon was priority over crafting. What a way to spend a Saturday instead of getting to stay inside all day crafting, right?!? I'll be posting some updated pictures over the next day or two to further inspire you. **smile**
I highly recommend using a stamping platform to create this medallion. I used my retired Stamparatus™ for aligning the stamp on the plate and the platform. A clear block can be used along with a lot of patience.
The tile image was stamped with Copper Clay ink on a 3-1/2" square piece of Basic White cardstock. Each time the image was stamped, the cardstock was turned 90° before stamping the next section. Using a stamping platform is a lifesaver should you need to reink the image.
The Spotlight on Nature die was used to diecut the medallion.
The Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder was used to emboss the Copper Clay cardstock layer. Linen Thread was double wrapped the embossed layer and tied off with a bow. The layer was adhered to the Copper Clay cardbase with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The diecut medallion was adhered with strips of handcut Foam Adhesive Sheets.
The Linked Together sentiment was stamped with Copper Clay ink on Basic White cardstock scraps and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The inside was layered and embossed to compliment the card front. The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was embossed to complete the card ensemble.
As promised, I finally finished all the cards in the 2023-2025 In Colors™! So which is your favorite? I must admit that I love them all! These colors are so classic!
