Hello friends! Happy Gratitude Month!!! I hope you are doing well on this third Friday of November! Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Please be sure to hop over there to see all the inspirations using this week's color - Lemon Lime Twist!
Today's Project
Today's project is using a color that I do not use often enough from the Stampin' Up!® color family found in the Brights Color Collection - Lemon Lime Twist! Inspired by the retired "A Sara Thing" Paper Pumpkin Kit, I thoroughly enjoyed playing with this color today to accentuate its various yellow green tones... I hope that it will get you loving it as much as I enjoyed using it for this project.
The Winterly Tree Tops Bundle was a must for showcasing these yellow green tones!
The spray image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock. The image was colored with my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Markers and die-cut with the coordinating die.
Three Stylish Shapes squares were diecut from Basic White cardstock. One square was embossed with Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder highlighting the falling maple leaf. One square was adhered to the diecut square while the other square was cut in half adhering both halves to the right back side of the square.
Two Stylish Shapes banners were diecut from a strip of Basic White cardstock. One banner was stamped with the Winterly Tree Tops sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. And, yes, you can carefully ink the stamp so the second line of the sentiment isn't inked. The other banner was stamped with the Everyday Greeting "friend" stamp in Lemon Lime Twist ink and colored with the brush tip of the Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Marker. The piece of Black & Very Vanilla 3/8" Large Checked Ribbon was colored likewise and fishtailed using the banner as a guide. Tear & Tape Adhesive was used to adhere the banners together. The grouped banners were adhered to the embossed square with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
A 2" strip of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder. It was cut into two 3/4" strips leaving one 1/2" strip.
A Basic White cardstock layer was stamped and off-stamped with the "thinking of you" Everyday Greetings stamp in Lemon Lime Twist ink. Two embossed strips were adhered to the layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The colored spray was adhered to corner of the embossed square making sure the layered half squares are on the back right. Stampin' Dimensionals were applied to the back side of the sprays overhanging the square. The arrangement was adhered to the Basic White card layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The Basic White cardstock layer was adhered to a Basic Black cardstock layer before being adhered to the Lemon Lime Twist card front.
Thirteen large Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels were adhered over the berries. They were colored with the brush tip of my Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Marker as a finishing touch.
The inside was stamped, colored, and layered to compliment the card front. A touch of Wink of Stella was added to the berries. The Everyday Greetings sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink allowing plenty of room to correspond to my friend who recently lost her mother-in-law. The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was embossed to complete the card ensemble.
I also made this card without the repetitive stamping on the front for some any occasion cards to keep on hand. Additional color was added with splatters of the brush tips of my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends.
