Hello friends! Happy Gratitude Month!!! I hope you are doing well on this second Friday of November! Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Please be sure to hop over there to see all the inspirations using this week's color - Calypso Coral!
Today's Project
Today's project is using my favorite orange in the Stampin' Up!® color family found in the Subtles Color Collection - Calypso Coral! I thoroughly enjoyed playing with it today to accentuate its soft subtle tones... I hope that it will get you loving it as much as I enjoyed using it for this project.
The Warms My Heart Stamp Set was a must for showcasing these tones of soft orange!
The fall themed image was stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock. The pumpkins in stamped image were colored with both shades of Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends while the entire stamped image was lovingly fussycut with my Paper Snips.
A Basic White cardstock layer was embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Using a detailed blending brush (it looks like a dentist cleaning brush), Calypso Coral ink was applied gently over each individual leaf. I am sure you could get a similar look by applying ink with one of our large Blending Brushes directly to the recessed images of the embossing folder; however, I didn't think of that until after I had already embossed the cardstock.
A same size Calypso Coral cardstock layer was tilted behind the embossed layer and adhered to a Crumb Cake cardstock layer.
The fussycut image was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Linen Thread was double wrapped around the adhered layers and tied off with a bow. The bow was scooted to the perfect spot before the assembled layers were adhered to the Crumb Cake card front.
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark ink, white heat embossed and die-cut with the Stylish Shapes banner die. The diecut was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin' Dimensionals.
Watercolor splatters were added with ink, water and a Water Painter along the white spaces on the embossed card front. As this card will be given to the loves of my life - my hubby and my son - embellishments were not added.
The inside was layered and embossed to compliment the card front. The perfect for anyone sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral allowing plenty of room to correspond to the recipient. The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was embossed to complete the card ensemble.
