Hello friends! Happy Gratitude Month!!! I hope you are doing well on this fourth Friday of November! Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Please be sure to hop over there to see all the inspirations using this week's color - Lost Lagoon!
Today's Project
Today's project is using a color that I was thrilled returned to our Color Collection Families after it retired after it's run as an In Color™ and is now in the Stampin' Up!® Subtles Color Collection - Lost Lagoon! I love blue green tones... and hope you will love this color as much as I enjoyed using it for this project.
The One of a Kind Bundle was perfect for repetitive stamping to showcase this pleasant blue green tone!
The Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write Marker was colored on a Clear Block D, spritzed with water and placed down on Basic White cardstock. Not being able to stop with one background... several others were created at the same time. While the backgrounds were drying, a larger Basic White cardstock layer was randomly stamped with the four snowflake images using ink pad.
A third Basic White layer was diecut with the solid One of a Kind snowflake die. The negative layer was embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
The dry watercolored background was attached to the back of the embossed layer with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Basic White Baker's Twine was double wrapped around the layer and tied off with a bow. The white heat embossed Peaceful Seasons sentiment was adhered with Foam Adhesive Strips. The wrapped layers were adhered to the stamped layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. The assembled layers were adhered to the Lost Lagoon with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Several detailed One of a Kind snowflakes were diecut from various backgrounds and/or damp watercolored with extra marker spritzed ink.
Three snowflakes, each representing a member of my immediate family, were selected and adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The inside was stamped and layered to compliment the card front. The Greetings of the Season sentiment was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink allowing plenty of room to correspond to friends over the holiday. The Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap was stamped to complete the card ensemble.
Additional cards were made each with a single snowflake focal point instead of three. This is such a fun repeatable layout to create! Basic Beige was even used for layers for two of the cards. The watercolor technique for coloring the snowflakes is just as "one of a kind" as the bundle.
