There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water, or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...
The temperatures have dropped again today here in NW Ohio, so sharing this Christmas card is so fitting!
Inspired by the photo inspiration and the colors from the challenge...
This is what I created...
Project Details
The Sketched Plaid stamp was a must for creating today's project. The background image was stamped with my Real Red ink pad in the stamp case. The Basic White cardstock layer was carefully pressed on the stamp and gently rubbed to prevent it from moving. Certain rows were colored with my Light Real Red Stampin' Blends Marker... and others with my Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends Marker.
The darkest wood pattern from the Country Woods 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper was used to die-cut a large Spotlight on Nature circle and the Rustic Crate dies.
Basic White cardstock was used to die-cut the 2nd Spotlight on Nature circle, the crate detail dies and the poinsettia. The crate details were colored with my Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker. The poinsettia were stamped with Early Espresso ink and colored with Dark Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends. The circle die-cut was blended with Balmy Blue ink to resemble the blue cookie icing in the challenge photo.
The Greetings of the Season sentiments were white heat embossed on Real Red Cardstock, fussy cut and adhered with Adhesive Foam Strips.
A double Linen Thread bow and Adhesive-Backed Textured Gems were added as finishing touches.
The inside was layered, stamped and colored to compliment the card front. The Greetings of the Season sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso. The Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap were stamped to complete the card ensemble.
