Today's Project
The Artful Amaryllis Bundle is the perfect fit for today's project featuring our seventh sketch challenge, don't you agree?!?
Project Details
The amaryllis images were stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock. Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends were used to color the blooms. Shaded Spruce and Light Olive Stampin' Blends were used to color the stems and leaves. The coordinating die was used to die cut the images.
My favorite detailed stitched die was used to create texture along the edges of the Garden Green cardstock layer. And, of course, I had to use my favorite Spotlight on Nature Dies for the circle.
A sheet of Country Woods Designer Series Paper (aka DSP) was trimmed to fit the Crumb Cake cardstock layer. Tearing the top and bottom sides of the DSP created the double layer look from the sketch.
Linen Thread was a must for this card. A few splatters were added by flicking the broad tip of the Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker. The heat embossed sentiment was created from two different sentiments. Texturizing the edges of Crumb Cake cardstock panel was another must for this special card.
The inside was simply layered and stamped to compliment the card front allowing plenty of room to correspond to the recipient. The Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap were stamped to complete the card ensemble.

DeleteThat rustic, distressed card base and layers is a great foil for those bold amaryllis. A friend gave me a bunch of them today, along with some bulbs to plant in the garden. That, along with your card is maybe a sign that I should buy this set!
