Hello and welcome to the New at SU! Blog Hop! Today we are showcasing products from the Stampin' Up!® September-December 2024 Mini Catalog.
Today's project is all about Bundles and Suites! So I chose a bundle from a Suite and combined it with a few other products. Nothing like creating something inspired by the Suite and using it for the holidays!
Creating this Thanksgiving card was a fun creative challenge. Using this Regal Flora Bundle from the Regal Winter Suite (pages 34-35, SD 2024 Mini Catalog) for a holiday was fun as the suite is designed to not be for the holidays. Inspired by the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper for the colors, creating this card for Thanksgiving was a breeze with a little help from with some other products from the Online Exclusives and the Annual Catalog.
Project Details...
I was totally inspired by the two plaid designs in the Regal Winter 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.
Wild Wheat and Pretty Peacock just say "hello fall" and "hello Thanksgiving" to me... so the creative process went from there. Originally I had planned to share a Christmas card, too, but I ran out of time so I will definitely share it here on my blog once it's complete.
Wreaths on the front door have always been a must for me during the holidays, so I had to create a wreath using the amazing stamps and coordinating dies.
Going through several rounds of stamping the floral images in different colors, I decided to pull out my Small Blending Brushes especially since page 34 in the Mini Catalog shows a Sponge Dauber to create multi colors with the images. I must say that I was so glad I tried the Blending Brushes... the florals came to life and looked so real to me! The Blending Brush works well when pouncing it like a Sponge Dauber as you can achieve different hues of color.
The Blending Brush was also used to add color to the Basic White intricate detailed die-cut strips.
The flora images were stamped and off-stamped with Wild Wheat and Pretty Peacock inks.
The Online Exclusive Iconic Imagery stamp set had the perfect sentiment that is perfect for Thanksgiving. Fussycutting it was a must for me to compliment the curves of the wreath.
Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems were used for a finishing touch.
The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the card front. The Regal Flora sentiment is perfect for so many occasions especially during the holidays when you are unable to be with friends and family. Flipping the DSP from the bottom to the top allows for room to correspond to the recipient. The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was embossed to complete the card ensemble.
More inspiration is just around the corner. I hope you have been inspired to create a card with this Regal Flora Bundle to share with someone to get them smiling. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. But before you do, please take a moment to leave a comment before you hop along to the next post. We love reading your comments!
