Happy Fall, y'all! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop as we share inspiration for our Sketch Challenge! There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water, or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
As we officially welcomed fall this past Sunday here in the United States, I had to focus on this gorgeous time of the year. There is nothing like the cooler temperatures and the beauty of the leaves as they change colors.
Here is our sketch for today...
... and here is what I created!
Project Details
I have been on fun-fold stretch lately and couldn't resist turning this sketch into a fun-fold!!! Using the vertical line of the sketch as my guide, that became the first flap.
Wanting to camouflage the fold, the line is also represented by the leaf border from the Autumn to Remember Stamp Set that was designed for scrapbooking.
Squares were cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.
The maple leaf was stamped with Crushed Curry ink and dabbled with Cherry Cobbler ink along the edges using my Small Blending Brush.
The Caring Leaves sentiment was stamped and die-cut to complete the card front.
The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the CAS card front. The Very Vanilla Medium Envelope (currently in the Clearance Rack) front and flap was stamped to complete the card ensemble.
