Hello friends! I hope you are doing well on this third Friday of September! Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Please be sure to hop over there to see all the inspirations using this week's color - Shaded Spruce!
Today's Project
Today's project is using one of our Regals Color Collection colors that I love using for the holidays - Shaded Spruce! I thoroughly enjoyed playing with it today to accentuate its tones... I hope that it will get you loving it as much as I enjoyed using it for this project.
The Everyday Details Stamp Set was a must for showcasing the natural tones of green!
The teacup was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and lovingly fussy cut. Inspired by my china, only the band of the teacup was colored while the liquid was darkened to look more fluid. The leaves and flower were colored to make them look natural.
The coordinating dies were used to create focal point backdrops on the Basic White cardstock layer which was embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
The rectangle was layered with Shaded Spruce cardstock while the circle was hand-stitched with three strands of the Basic White Baker's Twine reminiscent of heirloom embroidered linens from both of my grandmothers.
The fussy cut teacup was rounded with my bone folder to give it some dimension before adhering it to the hand-stitched circle with a Dimensional and Mini Glue Dots.
All layers, except the circle, were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The circle was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink, fussycut and snipped to compliment the card front.
The Iridescent Pearls were colored with the Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blend for a finishing touch.
The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the card front allowing room to correspond to the recipient. The Unbounded Love sentiment was stamped along the bottom allowing the card to be for any occasion. The Everyday Details die border is highlighted by adding a band of color on a same size Basic White layer underneath this top layer. The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was embossed to complete the card ensemble.
