Sophisticated Sled in Cherry Cobbler for the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop

Hello friends!  I hope you are doing well on this fabulous fourth Friday of August!  Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram.  Please be sure to hop over there to see all the inspirations using this week's color - Cherry Cobbler!

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop Banner - Cherry Cobbler

Today's Project

I absolutely love this luscious red color... Cherry Cobbler!  It is my go to red for the holidays.  This card is definitely another one of those cards for someone special due to the thought, creativity and love poured into making it.  Thankfully I had a special someone in mind when I made this so it will be mailed to them in December!

Stampin' Up! Sophisticated Sled in Cherry Cobbler (floating) | Nature's INKspirations by Angie McKenzie

The Basic White Cardstock layer was embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to the Cherry Cobbler Card Base.

A tag was created with Sparkling Snowflakes Tag Topper Punch trimming it to an overall length of approximately 4".  The "let it snow" sentiment was randomly stamped and off-stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink on the tag.  The tag was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Snowflake Sky embossed Basic White card layer at an angle.

The sled was die-cut from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock with the sled base and greenery die-cut from Basic White Cardstock.  The sled base and greenery were both pressed into my VersaMark Ink Pad and heat embossed with our new gold embossing powder.  The sled was adhered to the gold base with dabs of small dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The gold embossed greenery was tied to the top of sled with a piece of Gold 1/8" Trim which had been cut in the middle lengthwise.  The Gold Trim also secured a folded piece of Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4" Satin Ribbon. The bow was frayed and separated into several strands carefully removing the "flakes" of sheer fabric which you may wish to keep as part of the card design unlike me.

The cardinal was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink onto some scrap Basic White Cardstock.  A Blender Pen was used to pull the color out from the stamped image.  The colored image was fussycut with Paper Snips and adhered to the sled with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sled was adhered to the tag with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Cherry Cobbler and Gold Ribbon was tucked underneath the sled to accentuate the greenery.

The sentiment and snowflakes were stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink onto the large Stylish Shapes banner die-cut.  Two score lines were added on both sides to create the raised banner.  The banner was slipped over the bottom of the sled and adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Five Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels were added as a finishing touch to complete the card front.

The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the card front allowing room for corresponding to the recipient.  The sentiment banner was die-cut with the Stylish Shapes banner die and angled with the Wildflower Designs hexagon die.  The Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker was used to make a simple edit to the sentiment ... changing the "I" to "we".  The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was embossed to complete the card ensemble.
