New at SU! Blog Hop banner

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today I am hopping with the NEW AT SU! Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting!  Today we are showcasing products featuring Elevated Embossing whether it's an embossing folder, an embossing technique, dry embossing, and more.

Today's project is all about Elevated Embossing!  So it was time for me to have some fun with my favorite 3D Embossing Folder while interpreting the challenge literally!

Creating this elevated embossed card was so fun!  Using the Wildflower Designs Dies made it rather easy to elevate this eyelet embossed background.

Project Details...

Two of the Wildflower Designs Dies were used to create the card front design.  Starting off with one layer of Basic White Cardstock the layout was simply created.  Four additional layers of Basic White Cardstock were individually diecut using the one center die creating the window.

The first die-cut layer was placed carefully along the printed line of the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.  Next the floating die-cut was centered carefully before closing the embossing folder and running it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.  The embossed eyelet sections were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to one die-cut layer.  The remaining die-cut layers were adhered and stacked together before finally adhering to the embossed layer.  The last step of creating this elevated embossing card front was adhering the five die-cut layers to the remaining Basic White Cardstock layer.

Linen Thread was doubled and wrapped around the adhered Basic White layers tying it off with bow.  The Country Flowers sentiment was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the Stylish Shapes banner.  The banner was adhered to the card front with strips cut from the edges along my Stampin' Dimensionals.

The wildflowers were stamped with StazOn Jet Black Ink onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  The images were watercolored with Misty Moonlight, Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat and Mossy Meadow with my Fine Tip Water Painter.  Once dry (didn't take too long as the watercoloring wasn't overly saturated with water), the images were die-cut and adhered to the recessed opening with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The assembled layers were adhered to a Crumb Cake card base.  The inside was embossed and layered to compliment the card front.  The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was embossed to complete the card ensemble.

More inspiration is just around the corner.  I hope you have been inspired to create an elevated embossing card to share with someone to get them smiling.  Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #12 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along.  But before you do, please take a moment to leave a comment before you hop along to the next post.  We love reading your comments!
