Artful Amaryllis (SNEAK PEEK!) in Basic Gray for the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop

Today's Project

Today's project is using one of our Neutral Color Collection colors that I hardly ever use - Basic Gray!  I thoroughly enjoyed playing with it today to accentuate its tones... I hope that it will get you loving it as much as I enjoyed using it for this project.   

The Drizzling Droplets Cling Stamp Set was a must for showcasing the tones of gray!

The droplets nestled behind the Basic White and Basic Gray layers that were die-cut with my favorite die from the Around the Bend Dies which have been a part of our Online Exclusives since the release of the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog.  

I couldn't wait to highlight the Artful Amaryllis Bundle from the upcoming September-December 2024 Mini Catalog!  This was a must to my preorder items due to sentimental reasons (shared here if you wish to know).  

The amaryllis image was stamped with Basic Gray ink on a Basic White layer.  The entire image was colored with the light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Marker as the color appeared to me in the droplets stamped image.  

The fill images of the amaryllis were stamped and off stamped in Basic Gray on a scrap piece of Basic White providing guidance as to where to add shading to the image with the Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil.  

The watercolor penciled image was colored and blended with a Blender Pen until I was happy with the outcome.

The sides of the colored Basic White were torn towards me creating the edges.  The bottom was aligned with the other layers and die-cut with the Around the Bend die.  The leaves were trimmed off of this layer with my Paper Snips Scissors.  The coordinating detail dotted Artful Amaryllis die was used multiple times creating the background pattern.

All layers were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  

Additional layers were adhered to the back of the Drizzling Droplets layer to create the floating effect I was looking for.

The brush tip of Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker colored the Basic White die-cut layer, added the splatter to the card front and colored the Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on Basic Gray scraps and fussycut to complete the card front.

The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the card front allowing room to correspond to the recipient.  The amaryllis image was 2nd generation while the sentiment was 1st generation stamped.  The brush tip of the Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker added splatters and color to the edges of the Basic White stamped, die-cut layer.  A Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap was stamped to complete the card ensemble.
