Hello friends! I hope you are doing well on this fabulous first Friday of July! Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Please be sure to hop over there to see all the inspirations using this week's color - Old Olive!
Today's Project
I have been wanting to play with this amazing Penciled Pear stamp set for a few now and couldn't resist using it for this shade of green! This clean and simple layout made it perfect for multiples. Choosing a different coloring technique for each card was fun, but made it hard to decide which one would be highlighted for the InstaHop.
Deciding to play it safe without highlighting the Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes that I want back in our product so much, I focused on the Old Olive cardbase card.
The was ink with Crumb Cake ink on a Very Vanilla card layer.
The etched lines of the image were used as guides for coloring the image with the Old Olive Stampin' Blends. The Color Lifter was used along the center of the image for where I envisioned the light hitting the curves of the pear.
The right edge of colored card layer was torn downwards towards me. Multipurpose Liquid Glue was applied only along the left back side of the card layer before adhering to the Old Olive cardbase.
The sentiment was stamped and torn to compliment the card front.
Splatters were added with the brush tips of the Stampin' Blends.
The inside was stamped and layered to compliment the card front. The sentiment was fussycut and adhered over the image. Splatters were applied with the brush tip of the Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends Marker.
The Very Vanilla Medium Envelope (retired) front and flap were stamped to complete the card ensemble.
Here are the additional cards that made using the same layout and techniques... with the differences being in the coloring techniques.
The Very Vanilla card layers under the colored layers were colored along the edges with the bullet tip of the Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends Marker.
Now let's peek at the insides...
The insides were simply stamped on the inside of the card bases. The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive on Masking Paper and fussy cut. This allowed the stamped sentiment to be masked while the pears were off-stamped over the mask. Definitely a timesaver for doing multiples!
