Country Flowers in Night of Navy for the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop

Today's Project

I absolutely love our Night of Navy!  It is the first color I fell in love with oh so many years ago when I first found Stampin' Up!®.  This card is definitely for those who love to make a simple, special card as it is quick to replicate!   

The floral image was stamped in the corner of a Basic White cardstock layer with Night of Navy ink.  The blooms on the sprigs were colored by pulling color from the inked image with the Blender Pen.  The flowers were damp watercolored with the Night of Navy watercolor pencil using the Fine Tip Water Painter.  This was achieved simply with coloring various shades of blue on a scrap piece of Basic White and applying the damp brush to the pencil markings prior to filling in the image.  Additional color was added for depth in several different spots.

The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink prior to adhering to the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper and a Night of Navy cardstock layer.  The assembled layers were adhered to the Night of Navy cardbase.

The inside was layered and colored to compliment the card front allowing room for corresponding to the recipient.   The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was stamped and colored with the Blender Pen to complete the card ensemble.
