Hello friends! I hope you are doing amazing on this fun Friday. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Please be sure to hop over there to see all the inspirations using this week's color - Pecan Pie!
Today's Project
The Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks were a must for highlighting the versatility of this ink color! With four different masks, four different tones of this deep, woodsy color were able to be highlighted by making each layer a tad darker than the last. Placing these tones on Crumb Cake cardstock created this antiqued, sepia effect.
The Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks were a must for highlighting the versatility of this ink color! The Sepia Technique allowed the softer tones of this warm color to shine. The Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends and Stampin' Write Markers also came in handy for this technique, too.
The blending was done on a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Crumb Card cardstock. This allowed room for perfect alignment of the masks along with plenty of room to create the desired sepia effect.
The blended layer was trimmed to 3-3/4" x 5" and distressed with Paper Snips Scissors. The distressed panel was adhered to a slightly smaller panel for slight dimension. The panel was adhered to a Pecan Pie blendeed, Distressed Tile embossed layer of Crumb Cake cardstock. After embossing, the ink was gently rubbed with a microfiber cloth to disperse the ink.
The Enduring Beauty sentiment was stamped with Pecan Pie ink on Crumb Cake cardstock which was die-cut with a coordinating die. Two additional die-cuts were stacked and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue for subtle dimension.
The double Linen Thread bow was tied and adhered to the layered sentiment with a dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels colored with the bullet tip of the Dark Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends Marker were added as a finishing touch.
The inside was stamped and layered to compliment the card front. Splatters were added with the brush tip of the Pecan Pie Stampin' Write Marker for a finishing touch.
The Basic White Medium Envelope flap was embossed to complete the card ensemble.
This technique was so relaxing, I couldn't resist using the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks again!
A SNEAK PEEK of the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set and Greetings of the Season Dies from the upcoming July Online Exclusives is seen with the tag and sentiment!
I so love to mix our products! What about you?
