Happy Thursday, y'all!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop as we share inspiration for this month's Color Challenge! There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water, or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!

Today's Project

We are currently enjoying all the new products in our new Annual Catalog so I decided to focus on a much loved technique I haven't done in awhile for this month's project.  Totally inspired by the amazing Ruth Trice from across the pond along with ALL the colors from the color challenge along with the floral inspiration picture...

...this is what I was inspired to create!

Project Details

Once in awhile, we need to take some time just to create for the fun of it.  I try to do this weekly to keep my inspiration flowing as I create the challenges for three different blog hops and love to challenge the team members.  This week, I learned some amazing tips from Ruth Trice of Artful Stampin.

Inspired by the design that she was teaching us, this is the one sheet wonder that I created.  Peach Pie and Poppy Parade inks were each stamped full strength as the focal points.  Melon Mambo, Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green were stamped and off-stamped up to three generations at times.  The hardest part was cutting it... as the finished design was almost too lovely to cut.

The three cards that I created for today's project come from the lower right corner, the upper left corner and the lower left corner.  The remaining sections are patiently waiting to be assembled and I will share them once they are completed.

The Sentimental Park and Layered Leaves sentiments were white heat embossed on Granny Apple Green scraps and fussy cut.  Some sentiments were adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals and others adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Leftover Thoughtful Wishes diecuts from another project were the perfect compliment to the standard size card front.  Irridescent Pearls were added as the final touch to each card front.

The inside of the cards were left blank to allow plenty of room for corresponding to the recipients.  The square cards were accented with the strip trimmed from the left side of the top inside panel.  The Basic White Medium Envelopes were kept blank to simply wrap the surprise that is inside.

I hope this project has inspired you and brightened your day.  There are some other amazing inspirations for you to see along this blog hop.  So glance below at the blog hop list - you are currently visiting my blog, Angie McKenzie (#5 on the list) - to see who is next as you sure don't want to miss any!

  2. I love your One Sheet Wonder creation! I can understand how reluctant you were to cut it up the whole sheet, but it was totally worth it because the cards you created are gorgeous. I will be setting some time aside to follow your lead and have some creative play time.
