Hello and happy February!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do!  We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.

This month we are sharing projects based on our Color Challenge!  I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this fun challenge.

Today's Project

My heart leapt with joy when I saw this picture for this month's color challenge... it took me to my childhood as I recalled the joy of Sunday mornings at church and seeing all the little ones grinning from ear to ear!  Actually, this little fella seems all decked out for Easter and reminds me so much of one of the pastor's kids that I so enjoyed watching grow up.

Here is what this fun challenge inspired me to create!

Project Details

The Bokeh lighting in the picture inspired me to use the Rays of Light stamp set.  The background stamp was inked with Whisper White Craft ink and pressed with a Lemon Lolly Cardstock layer.  The Everyday Details circle die-cut was blended along the edges with a Small Blending Brush and Misty Moonlight ink.  Three strands of White Baker's Twine was stitched around the circle using a stitch that my paternal grandmother used for handstitching trims on pillowcases decades ago that I was blessed to receive.

The Courage & Faith images were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock.  Colored with Dark Soft Sea Foam, Light Pretty Peacock, Real Red Combo and Lemon Lolly Combo Stampin' Blends Markers the images were fussy cut and adhered with Mini Glue Dots onto the stitched circle.  The sentiment was white heat embossed onto Misty Moonlight cardstock, trimmed and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals onto the stitched circle.  The stamped Lemon Lolly cardstock layer was splattered with the Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends brush tip for quick drying before adhering to the Basic White Thick cardbase.  The assembled circle was adhered to the cardfront with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the card front.  The Hope & Prayer sentiment was white embossed to compliment the front sentiment.  The Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap were stamped and colored to complete the card ensemble.
