Cutest Cows for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop - December 2023 | Sketch Challenge

 

Happy Thursday, y'all!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop as we share inspiration for our Sketch 103 challenge! Today's Project

For our last blog hop of 2023, we have a fun sketch challenge!  I cannot wait to see how the other team members interpreted this sketch.  I enjoyed interpreting it as a Polaroid selfie using the Cutest Cows (SNEAK PEEK from the upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog) stamp set!

Project Details

The base of the Polaroid was a Basic White 2-3/4" square.  The same size overlay was cut using my Paper Trimmer as a guide for the cut-out.  The cute smiling cow and sunflowers were stamped with Memento ink.  The cow was colored with Light Basic Black and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Markers.  The sunflowers were colored with Light Pumpkin Pie, Light/Dark Crumb Cake and Dark Granny Apple Stampin' Blends Markers.  The pasture was colored with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers while the sky was colored with Light Balmy Blue.

The Basic White cardstock layer was roughened along the edges with my bone folder.  The Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and torn across the top and bottom to create a rustic feel.  The Polaroid selfie was double layered on the back to create a solid, subtle dimension to the card front.  

The sentiment was white heat embossed on the Real Red Nested Essentials banner die-cut.  Basic Black twine was wrapped around the banner and tied off with a small bow before it was adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside of the card was layered, roughened and stamped to compliment the card front while allowing plenty of room to correspond to the recipient.  The Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap were stamped to complete the card ensemble.
