Hello friends! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop as we share inspiration from our Color Inspiration Challenge this month! There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water, or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
This month's photo inspiration is perfect for this time of year here in NW Ohio as the leaves are changing colors. The colors this year are so beautiful and have been breathtaking on numerous occasions against the dark gray clouds passing through this month.
Here is this month's challenge...
And this is what it inspired me to create.Project Details
The Abundant Beauty Decorative Mask was a must for these cards. Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze were the colors that I chose to use from the color challenge. These inks were blended on Basic White cardstock with my Small Blending Brushes.
Applying the ink along an angle was inspired by the photo from the challenge. The Autumn Leaves oak leaf was stamped with Crushed Curry ink and rubbed with the Small Blending Brush for a softer stamped image creating an image that was between a stamped image and an off-stamped image. The stamped leaf was die-cut with its coordinating die. The leaf stem was die-cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and adhered with Stampin' Seal. The sentiment was white heat embossed on Crumb Cake cardstock and die-cut with an Autumn Leaves Die.
Linen Thread was double wrapped around the Basic White layer and tied off with a bow. The layer was double layered for a subtle floating effect. The sentiment panels were adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. The leaf was adhered with doubled Stampin' Dimensionals and a tad of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The insides of the cards were stenciled to compliment the card fronts. The Basic White Medium Envelope fronts and flaps were stenciled to complete the card ensembles.
Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss were the card base colors I chose... which would you have chosen? Which is your favorite?

ReplyDeleteLovely card Angie, I really like how stenciling with the colours really softens them. So pretty x
