Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! We are glad you have joined us and look forward to spending time with you as we share inspiration with you as we interpret whether to bow or "knot" to bow with this month's Sketch Challenge. So sit back and enjoy your favorite cuppa as you enjoy your trip Around the World on Wednesday!
Today's Project
Autumn is here full-time! I absolutely love the changing colors during this season along with the many reminders that change is good. We will be picking pumpkins before we know it and roasting pumpkin seeds from the carved pumpkins.
I couldn't resist using a few pumpkins as inspiration from the sketch...
I chose a combination of the two sketches - using the position of the sentiment strip, but lowering it a tad and adding the bow.
Project Details
The Rustic Crate autumn arrangement was the perfect fit for the four squares in the sketch! The sunflowers mixed with the pumpkins and corn... what a bountiful harvest!
Stamp the image with Smoky Slate ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Apply Crushed Curry and Garden Green inks to two separate Clear Blocks by pressing the block on one ink pad and lifting the color up with a Blender Pen. Apply Crushed Curry ink on the corn ears along with the disk florets and lower ray florets of the sunflowers. Apply Garden Green ink on the corn husks and sunflower leaves. Use Stampin' Blends Markers for coloring the remaining images. Use Light Pecan Pie on the pumpkin stem and to accentuate the sunflower disk florets; Light Cherry Cobbler on the outer ray florets of the sunflowers; and a Pumpkin Pie Combo for the pumpkins. Die-cut the image with the coordinating die.
Die-cut the crate with Pecan Pie Cardstock and the accents with Smoky Slate Cardstock scraps. Assemble with Tear & Tape Adhesive and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere the embossed Very Vanilla Cardstock layer and Garden Green Cardstock strip to the embossed Crumb Cake Cardstock layer. Triple wrap Linen Thread and tie-off with a bow. Double layer the back of the Crumb Cake layer creating a subtle supportive dimension for the focal point of the crate. Adhere the layers to the Crumb Cake cardbase.
Adhere the crate with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Softly round the edges of the autumn arrangement with your Bone Folder. Adhere to the card front with doubled Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment with Garden Green ink on a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Adhere to two additional layers creating a subtle dimension. Adhere to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Add a touch of shine with some embellishments.
Layer and stamp the inside layers to compliment the card front. Stamp the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope front and flap to complete the card ensemble.
