Happy September! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do! We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.
This month we are sharing projects based on our Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this fun challenge.
Today's Project
It is definitely beginning to feel like fall here in NW Ohio! It's a cloudy, cool day which is just right for enjoying football games.
With today's challenge I couldn't help but go all out with the fall theme. I actually enjoyed challenging myself to use all the elements.
Project Details
The Framing Foliage Host Stamp Set comes with two amazing images that can be used for fall and winter themed cards... and possibly even pushed to the warmer seasons with a few floral additions.
The fall image was stamped with a well-loved Early Espresso ink pad in need of reinking. The stamped images were colored with Stampin' Blends to blend some of the colors on the leaves.
The Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder was used to start the vintage feel of the background. The Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad was rubbed across the top of the embossed Very Vanilla cardstock layer.
The colored image cardstock layer was torn along all four edges.
The center of the image was blended with Early Espresso ink and a Small Blending Brush.
The Fruitful Blessings sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso ink and die-cut with the Autumn Leaves die. An additional die-cut was used to add subtle dimension to the sentiment layer.
Linen thread was double wrapped around embossed layer and tied off with a bow.
The inside was stamped and layered to compliment the card front. The Very Vanilla Medium Envelope front and flap was stamped to complete the card ensemble.
Having been on a creative whim this past week using Pebble Path... I made a second card showing how using the same color Stampin' Blends look completely different on Basic White cardstock.
And here's a peek at the inside!
More Inspiration
I hope that you have enjoyed this challenge and will use it yourself to create some cards for friends and family. Up next on the blog hop is Leonie where you can continue along to see what she and all the others have created. I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration! And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment... we love to hear from you.
