Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am hopping with the New at SU! Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing products from the September-December 2023 Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog that shine, shimmer and glow.
Today's project is all about things that shine! So I focused on something that would attract a bird as the leaves are changing and the squirrels are running around gathering up acorns for the winter.
I love creating fall cards to share with friends at this wonderful time of the year. Our house is surrounded by trees with some of the largest oak trees I have seen. Unfortunately, we found out that one of the large oaks in our front yard had to come down after we living at our current home for about a year. I truly miss the shade and beauty of its beauty. Thankfully, we have three other large oaks that we can enjoy. So we're able to enjoy the squirrels and other nut loving critters as they gather and munch on the acorns.
Project Details...
The oak leaves image from the Fruitful Blessings Stamp Set was stamped with Crumb Cake ink onto a Very Vanilla Deckled Circles diecut and colored with Stampin' Blends Markers. The sentiment was stamped with Copper Clay ink on Very Vanilla scraps and fussycut. The oak leaves were stamped along the corners of the Very Vanilla cardstock layer which was adhered to a Crumb Cake cardstock layer. The Natural Ribbon was wrapped around the front of the adhered layers and attached to the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive. The Copper Ribbon that shimmers was wrapped around the cardstock layers and tied with a knot. The colored leaves were attached to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The 2023-2025 In Color Dots were added as splatter of shimmer.
The inside of the cards were stamped and layered to compliment the card front. The Very Vanilla Medium Envelope fronts and flaps were stamped to complete the card ensemble.
More inspiration is just around the corner. I hope you have been inspired to create a something beautiful that shimmers to share with someone to get them smiling. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #8 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. But before you do, please take a moment to leave a comment before you hop along to the next post. We love reading your comments!
