Christmas Classics Noel for the Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop - September 2023 | Sketch Challenge

Today's Project

Can you believe that the holiday season is just around the corner?  Christmas will be here before we know it and I need to start making my Christmas cards as I'm sure you do, too.  Today's sketch should inspire you with lots of different interpretations to get you in the mood to create.

And here's what I created using colors inspired by the beautiful Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper which is part of the Winter Meadow Suite Collection (September-December 2023 Mini Catalog, pages 36-37). 

Project Details

The Nature's Print splatter image was stamped with VersaMark ink, randomly stamped along the edges of the Basic White Classic Christmas die-cut and heat embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder.  Pretty Peacock ink was stippled on the holly leaves and the sides with a Clear Block and Small Blending Brush.  Pebbled Path ink was applied in the same fashion on the berry sprigs.  

The Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder created a lovely embossed Basic White cardstock panel layered on Pretty Peacock.  The sentiment die was die-cut twice - one applied to the front and one on the back.  The Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon was wrapped around the diecuts and adhered cardstock layers tying off with a bow which was slid to just the right spot.

Noel was created with the Joy of Noel Dies and the Snowflake Magic 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The negative die-cut was used to align the letters on the Basic White label.  The Christmas Classics holly sprays were stamped with Pebbled Path ink, colored with Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blends and die-cut with the coordinating dies.  Scraps of Basic White cardstock were stamped with the splatter image, silver heat embossed and die-cut with the Wishes All Around snowflake dies.  Clear Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins were added as the finishing touch to highlight the berries.

The inside was stamped and layered to compliment the card front.  The Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap were stamped and colored to complete the card ensemble.
