Glad We're Friends for #GDP377 |
The color coordination of the Stampin' Up! Color Families won my heart from the first time I found Stampin' Up! on the internet 15 years ago... so I always love a good color challenge! I have been wanting to create a card that I envisioned welcoming 2023 after having been through a year of healing and recovery during 2022... so thank you #GDP377 for this fresh color palette!
The Glad We're Friends corgi image has been a favorite of mine since I first saw it... and I knew this little fella would be the perfect way to express my relief and gratitude for a new year. I am finally beginning to feel more like myself after experiencing several illnesses during 2022... so the Rays of Light background stamp was the perfect to add a touch of sunshine along with the fussy cut daisies from the Playing in the Rain stamp set.
The emboss resist technique was used by blending So Saffron to create the sunlight behind the corgi.
The corgi was colored with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Markers with a touch of a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Marker for his tongue. The fan from the corgi image was stamped several times, colored with Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Markers and fussy cut to layer it up along the edge of the Stylish Shapes circle die-cut. The corgi was grounded with the Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers. The daisies were colored with Dark So Saffron and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers.
The Alphabet à la Mode dies were perfect for 2023 coming into the picture expressing my feelings for this amazing year.
The inside was stamped with a Count on Me sentiment. The Playing in the Rain daisy was fussy-cut and adhered as a finishing touch. A heartfelt message to special accountability buddy allows plenty of room for a special handwritten note of thanks for being there with me through it all!
The Basic White Medium Envelope was stamped on the front and flap to complete the card ensemble.
I hope this has given you inspiration to use the Global Design Project challenges as inspirations for some of your card creations. Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world!
