Fancy Flora for Global Design Project #376 |
I hope you're enjoying your day! The Global Design Project for this week is a CAS(e) the Designer Challenge!
Connie Collins has been a longtime inspiration of mine so I just had to participate this week to CAS(e) her amazing card. My flower girl's baby sister is getting married tomorrow... so I needed to make a special wedding card using elements from the lovely Fancy Flora Suite.
The Two-Tone Flora detailed die was used to create a die-cut for blending the background with Petal Pink ink.
The Two-Tone Flora solid floral image was stamped off with Petal Pink ink while the coordinating detailed image was stamped full strength. The leaves were stamped twice with Mint Macaron ink to create the different shades.
The Something Fancy sentiment was stamped with Mint Macaron ink and die-cut with Something Fancy label die.
The florals were rounded with my bone folder and adhered to the stenciled layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. The leaves were tucked neatly underneath.
Frayed remnants of Petal Pink 3/8" Soft Polyester Ribbon from a previous project was the perfect addition under the stamped label. A doubled Linen Thread bow and Pearl Basic Jewels had to be used for this special bride-to-be in honor of her wedding day as the finishing touches.
The inside was layered, stenciled and stamped to compliment the card front. The Something Fancy sentiment was stamped and masked before the floral image was added. A heartfelt congratulations for my sweet 2nd cousin and her hubby allows plenty of room for a special handwritten note to be enjoyed after the wedding!
The Basic White Medium Envelope was stenciled on the flap to complete the card ensemble.
I hope this has given you inspiration to use the Global Design Project challenges as inspirations for some of your card creations. Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world!
P.S. Thanks so much for the Special Mention, Global Design Project Design Team! xo
