Favored Flowers for the Casually Crafting Blog Hop - January 2023

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today I am hopping with the Casually Crafting Design Team!  This month's theme is Loving Sale-A-Bration so there are sure to be quite a few inspirations to get your mojo going with some creativity.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!

Today's Project

Today's project features the beautiful Favored Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper which you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying order.

Favored Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration - Level 1)

What's even more exciting is that this paper coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle which you could purpose as part of a qualifying order.  These coordinating products would be the perfect products to get if you have ever thought about stepping up cards.  The bundle comes with dies which can be used to die-cut some of the images in this paper!  Not interested in the bundle?  Well, let's just say you will definitely want the coordinating Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set (available in either Cling or Photopolymer).

Project Details

Fussy cut the flowers of your choice from the Favored Flowers DSP.  I chose a set of two Petal Pink flowers and one Fresh Freesia flower from two different sheets with Basic Black backgrounds.

With your Bone Folder, round the flowers downwards along the outer edges leaving the center connecting point flat.  Do the same with each individual leaf and curl the leaf tips up.

Adhere a Stampin' Dimensional in the center of each flower.  Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the flat section of the flowers.  Adhere the flower arrangement to a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Shimmery White cardstock as shown.

Stamp the Fragrant Flowers large sentiment with Evening Evergreen ink on the Shimmery White layer.  Stamp the salutation sentiment on Shimmery White scraps, trim close and adhere to the Shimmery White layer with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere the assembled layer to a Petal Pink layer before adhering to the Evening Evergreen cardbase.

Adhere Shimmery White and Petal Pink card layers on the inside of your cardbase to compliment the cardfront.

Adhere a strip of the Favored Flowers DSP to the envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Trim the access with your Paper Snips along the edge of the flap.
