We are glad you have joined us and look forward to spending time with you as we share inspiration with you about some products that are something new, something used.

So sit back and enjoy your favorite cuppa as you enjoy your trip Around the World on Wednesday!

Today's Project

I am still in the midst of creating cards for Christmas and realized that I had not yet created the one project that I knew I had this year with the Mistletoe Magic Bundle!

Inspired by a Hallmark movie that I saw during July...  I fell in love with one of the elements of the movie related to, yes, mistletoe!

Good Morning Christmas! had a local Christmas tree where wishes were written on a piece of paper, rolled up and hung on the tree with a sprig of mistletoe.

Project Details

My something used is the Mistletoe Magic Stamp Set which was love at first sight...

My something new are the coordinating Mistletoe Dies that I thought I didn't need... so they were added to my stash about two months ago and remained unused until now!

The mistletoe image was stamped with Early Espresso ink onto Shimmery White cardstock.

The leaves and stems were colored with a Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Marker.

The berries were created with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool.

The above photograph was my color inspiration for this project.

The detailed mistletoe die was used to cut Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and Shimmery White cardstock.

Color was applied to both sides of the detailed Shimmery White die-cut with a Blending Brush and Mossy Meadow ink.

The start of my wish for 2023... written on Resume quality paper | Nature's INKspirations by Angie McKenzie

A sheet of résumé quality cotton fiber parchment paper was trimmed down to 3-1/2" x 5" for a special wish to be rolled and attached to the finished ornament.

Once the berries were dry from the heat embossing, a gold die-cut and blended die-cut were adhered with Mini Glue Dots to the stamped die-cut.

A piece of Linen Thread (approx. 12" long) was folded in half, wrapped around the stems and finished off with a loop for hanging on a tree branch.

Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon was colored with the Light Real Red Stampin' Blends Marker and re-softened with a Bone Folder to break up the fibers.

The colored ribbon was tied around the stems and finished off with a bow.

  4. This is a very nice idea! It reminds me of the wishes left at the new year in Buddhist temples by the Japanese. It's a nice idea to hang these wishes on the tree. I love it ! Thank you for this sweet sharing Angie!
