Mountain Wildflower Meadow Sympathy Card for a Color Challenge! |
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!
I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!
Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop as we share inspiration from this month's Color Inspiration Challenge!
There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water, or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
This month's color inspiration photo just makes me want to relax and enjoy the view for hours.. especially enjoying the majestic purple mountains.
How does it make you feel?!
This past week, I received an unexpected phone call informing me of the upcoming funeral of one of my former bosses from my paralegal days in Georgia.
Needless to say, I was speechless.
Mike was a kind-hearted man of strong faith who created his own path in the legal field.
He will be deeply missed.
This month's challenge was the perfect inspiration to help me create the cards that I need to send to his family and dear colleague.
Project Details
The detailed mountain range image from Mountain Air was stamped with Starry Sky ink onto a Very Vanilla cardstock layer.
The Wildflower Path images were stamped with the remaining colors from the challenge.
Evening Evergreen was stamped and off-stamped for the wildflower stems.
Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis created the larger wildflower blooms while Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight highlighted the smaller blossoms.
The sentiment which was so Mike was stamped with Evening Evergreen onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock which was torn along the edges for a special touch.
The wildflower layer was adhered offset on a Starry Sky layer to compliment the mountain range.
The inside was adorned with Majestic Mountain Evening Evergreen pines and a Starry Sky Quiet Meadow sentiment allowing for plenty of space for correspondence to the bereaved.
The Very Vanilla Medium Envelope front and flap were stamped to compliment the card.
