Fond of Autumn Pop-Up Shadow Box Card |
Hello and happy fall! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do! We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.
This month we are sharing projects based on our Sketch Challenge or a 3D project! I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this fun challenge.
Today's Project
My eldest niece was in the hospital two days ago so I was in need for a get well card and couldn't resist creating a Pop-Up Shadow Box Card using this month's challenge of using the sketch or creating a 3D project... so I combined both!
Project Details
I had so much fun creating this card! This is one of my favorite folds to use around this time of year to make others smile. The 2nd and 3rd largest circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies were used to create the opening on the card front.
Masking Paper was used to create the center background using Crumb Cake ink to stamp the Cottage Rose sentiment. A Blending Brush with Calypso Coral was used to create some contrast against the Very Vanilla card front.
The large image from Fond of Autumn was stamped with Crumb Cake ink, colored with Stampin' Blends Markers and die-cut with the coordinating die. The floral image of adhered to the Leaf Fall embossed layer with a Stampin' Dimensional after the die-cut image was rounded with a bone folder.
The Bronze Stampin' Blend was used to create splatters on the card front and the inside embossed layer along with coloring the circle die-cut frame and 1/4" strips adhered to the card front ends. The Sending Smiles sentiment was stamped, die-cut with the Stylish Shapes banner and adhered on the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The back layer will allow plenty of room to handwrite a note to my niece. The envelope front and flap were stamped to compliment the card.
More Inspiration
I hope that you have enjoyed this sketch and will use it yourself to create some cards for friends and family. Up next on the blog hop is the talented Aurélie Fabre where you can continue along to see what she and all the others have created. I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration! And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment... we love to hear from you.
