Blessings of Home and the Perched in Tree Bundle mingle with other elements for a color challenge!

 

Happy Thursday, y'all!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop as we share inspiration from this month's color inspiration challenge! Today's Project

This month's color challenge was a fun one for me!  I couldn't resist using all six of the colors and definitely pulled some ideas from the photo itself for today's project.

Project Details

Fall is full swing here in NW Ohio!  The weather has been perfect for walking along the trail with the crunch of leaves underfoot.  

My main inspiration was what I am blessed to view everyday and some of the leaves are so huge and remind me of the leaves from the Aspen Tree Dies so that was where the watercoloring began...  

The Aspen Tree Dies leaves were die-cut from Shimmery White cardstock and watercolored with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks; the Full Basket Dies leaves were watercolored with Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake; the intricate Christmas Pinecone Die was watercolored with Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake; and the Organic Beauty Dies berry spray was watercolored with Merry Merlot and Crumb Cake.  

The Timber 3D Embossing Folder created the background texture scored at every inch mark starting at 4-1/8".  Tahitian Tide ink was applied in several layers with a Blending Brush.  Crumb Cake ink was blended along the edges.  The Blessings of Home sentiment was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink, trimmed and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Rustic Metallic Self-Adhesive Dots were the finishing touch.

The inside was embossed and inked to compliment the card front.  The Perched in a Tree splash image was stamped with Crushed Curry ink behind the Mossy Meadow sentiment.
