Framed and Festive Ho Ho Ho Christmas Card! |
Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying this splendid Sunday. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Share It Sunday Blog Hop as we share projects on our craft desks. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
I am in the midst of creating my Christmas cards for this year. I just love the fonts of the limited edition Framed and Festive Stamp Set (available to demonstrators during October and to customers starting on November 1st) and couldn't wait to play with them and Santa's hat from the Ho Ho Ho October 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit.
Project Details
I was watching my alma mater play football today and couldn't resist playing with my school colors that I was wearing!
The red and black is a bit traditional when you think of Santa so I decided to stamp the Santa image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock. The hat was colored with Light Real Red and Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Markers and fussy cut. The "fa la la" sentiment was stamped repeatedly in Memento ink on the Cherry Cobbler cardstock layer.
The Framed and Festive sentiment was heat embossed on Basic Black cardstock and die-cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. The Basic White cardstock layer was embossed with the snowflakes Wintry 3D Embossing Folder and wrapped with the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon. Both of these layers were adhered to the Cherry Cobbler layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Santa's hat was adhered likewise.
Creative Note: The snowflakes on the embossing have the perfect spot for an embellishment... I was torn as to whether to add a pearl, irridescent pearl or a pearlized dot. Which would you add? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. :)
The inside sentiments were embossed and die-cut to coordinate with the card front. The envelope front and flap will be stamped to compliment the card front after I've made a few more of these cards for my Christmas card stash.
More Inspiration
I hope you have been inspired to create some fun Christmas cards with these stamp sets to share this season. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #13 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. You definitely don't want to miss any.
