Apple Harvest Coloring Fun! |
Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Today I am hopping with some demonstrator friends along the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration related to our favorite stamps and/or suites from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
With this publication being released shortly after the new annual catalog, I must honestly say that I haven't had the time to fully engulf myself in the pages to find a favorite, yet, as there are way too many that I would love to have and/or play with. But I must say that the nature lover and coloring fanatic that I am... I am thoroughly enjoying the amazing Apple Harvest Stamp Set!
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away..." has been one of my favorite all time quotes when it comes to staying healthy. And I must say that my favorite choice of an apple is the Granny Smith variety. I just get hungry for one typing about it! **wink**
Project Details
The single apple image was stamped with Smoky Slate ink repeatedly at jaunty angles across two long strips of Basic White cardstock. The leaves and stems were colored with the Light versions of my Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Markers. The shading on the apples were colored with my Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil. The apples were colored with my Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Marker.
The strips were then colored with Balmy Blue and Bermuda Bay ink using my Blending Brushes. A microfiber cloth was used to wipe any excess ink off of the pencil shading to further blend the colors.
Next the fun began as the strips were wrapped and adhered to the Pear Pizzazz tri-fold card base. The strips were cut as needed on the inside as one strip completely wrapped the outside of the card with enough to tuck inside for the additional strip. Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon was adhered below the strip adhering it with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Gray Granite Baker's Twine was wrapped twice around the top of the strips. Strips of Basic White were added below the ribbon for a finishing touch. The Season of Chic sentiment was selected to cheer up friend who needs a paper hug across the miles while the inside provides a nice space for personal correspondence.
The envelope front and flap were stamped with the same images to compliment the card.
