Hello friends!  I hope you are doing amazing on this sun-filled Sunday.  Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Share It Sunday Blog Hop as we share inspiration of what's been on our craft desks!  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!

Today's Project

Last week I had so much fun playing with the Paper Pumpkin Sweet Sunflowers August 2022 Kit that I the first background I created was with colors that I usually use for my sunflowers instead of the colors from the kit!  I didn't want it to go to waste so it became a birthday card!  I also made another birthday card using the paper tearing technique inspired by Cindy Schuster from her August 2022 Crafty Carrot project!

Project Details

Starting with the amazing sunflowers, the sunflowers were stamped with Crushed Curry ink on the reverse side and watercolored with wet Water Painter to create the ray flowers background on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  The leaf was stamped in Old Olive and watercolored likewise.  Once dry, the sunflower image was stamped with Crushed Curry ink.  The leaf image was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.  The disk flowers were lightly watercolored freehand with Soft Suede ink while the sky was watercolored with Balmy Blue ink.  The disc flowers image was off-stamped with Soft Suede ink.  TIP:  To get the disc flowers looking a certain way, stamp them on scraps and fussy cut.  Turn the image to reflect the preferred  direction and likewise stamp.

The large print "happy" was stamped with Night of Navy ink on a strip of scrap Basic White cardstock and adhered to a scrap circle which was easy to match up to the coordinating Layering Circles Die to die-cut the edges.  The sentiment strip was adhered to the circle.  The remainder of the sentiment of stamped with Night of Navy ink onto Basic White scraps and fussy cut.  Two sailboats were adhered to the Basic White layer along with the sunset.  The birthday sentiments were adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The assembled layer was adhered to a Night of Navy card base.
