Hello friends! I hope you are doing amazing on this fabulous Friday. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration related to the August 2022 Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Kit. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
This kit is by far my most favorite!!! Everything is simply gorgeous and to think we can stamp all the sunflowers we want after creating the beautiful cards as presented is ah-mazing! And the box.... GORGEOUS!
Project Details
Taking inspiration from the box and envelopes, I brought out some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and did a some watercolor reverse stamping! All of the colors used for this alternative were listed as colors used in the kit design.
The reverse side of the sunflower image was stamped with Crushed Curry ink and watercolored with my Water Painter before stamping onto the half sheet of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. The image was watercolored two more times. Next the reverse side of the leaf image was stamped with Mossy Meadow and watercolored identically as the sunflower and repeated two more times. The sky was watercolored with Night of Navy ink. Once dry, the sunflower backgrounds were stamped with the sunflower image. The disk flowers were watercolored lightly with Soft Suede ink and stamped with the disk flowers image.
The sentiment was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink and framed with a Crumb Cake banner die-cut with Stylish Shapes dies. The finishing touch was a Crumb Cake Baker's Twine double ribbon adhered with liquid glue. The Crumb Cake card base was trimmed down to 4" x 5-1/2" to compliment the half sheet watercolored background.
The Basic White inside card layer was stamped to compliment the card front. The sunflower image was double stamped with rotating the stamp the second time giving more dimension to the ray flowers.
