Fun (Folds) for Fall with Apple Harvest! |
Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am hopping with the New at SU! Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today is all about Fun for Fall as we share fall-themed fun-folds!
Today's project is all about fun (folds) for Fall! So it didn't take long for me to pick the finest apples to play with... but it took me a while to decide the most fun way to showcase them! Fall is apple picking time for my family... the more we pick the happier we are! The Apple Harvest Stamp Set and the upcoming coordinating Apple Blossoms Dies (available now for pre-order for demonstrators) are the highlights for this fall fun-fold.
Creating this Trifold card was a blast from the past for me. I made a trifold card a few years ago that was my inspiration for today's card. You can view my inspiration here.
Project Details... include some Crumb Cake and Masking Paper to create the apple trees on each of the Basic White panels adhered to the trifold Crumb Cake card base. The scalloped edging is from the coordinating Apple Blossom Dies as is the Crumb Cake heat embossed sentiment panel. The apple foliage image was stamped in Crumb Cake ink. A mask for the image was die-cut from Masking Paper and adhered over the stamped images to achieve the continuous realistic look of an apple tree. Stampin' Blends Markers were used to color the stamped images... the apples are Real Red, the branches are Crumb Cake and the leaves are Mossy Meadow with Night of Navy for shading. The card is presented as being tied like a package.
Here's what the recipient would get a glimpse of after untying the Crumb Cake Baker's Twine bow.
More inspiration is just around the corner. I hope you have been inspired to create a fun-fold card to share with someone to get them smiling about the upcoming fall season. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #6 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. But before you do, please take a moment to leave a comment before you hop along to the next post. We love reading your comments!
Such a beautiful card! I love the fold, and the simple but so very elegant way you added the white layers and the stamps. All details are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Annette! I love picking apples in the fall at a local apple orchard... nothing like trying to capture the feelings on paper.
DeleteThe layered images are so well done, Angie! And the scalloped edging works perfectly with the apples! What a lovely card!
