All Bundled Up for Christmas in July! |
Happy Thursday, y'all! Today I'm hopping along the Third Thursdays Blog Hop! So sit back and enjoy the inspirations on today's blog hop as we share things related to Christmas in July with you!!
Today's Project
During these hot days of summer, it helps to think of the colder days of winter... don't you think?!? Well, it definitely helps me especially when I saw these adorable critters in the All Bundled Up Stamp Set!
And aren't they just stylin' it with their 2022-2024 In Color outdoor winter accessories?!?
Project Details
The creative process for this card all began with the Knit Together background stamp. Three of the 2022-2024 In Colors were stamped separately on a standard card front Basic White layer. Once stamped the layer was trimmed to create the first layer on the Basic White Thick card base.
The All Bundled Up critters were all stamped in Gray Granite on Basic White cardstock and colored with Stampin' Blends Markers to compliment the knit background. The rabbit and bird were colored with Light Crumb while the moose and raccoon were colored with all shades of Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. The winter outdoor accessories were all colored with Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide to match the knit background.
The moose was die cut with a Deckled Rectangles Die while the raccoon, rabbit and bird were all fussy cut. The die cut was adhered to a Basic White card layer that was fully embossed with the snowflakes from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. The embossed layer was adhered to a slightly larger layer of Sweet Sorbet cardstock. The raccoon was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The rabbit was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. The bird was adhered with layered Mini Glue Dots allowing the bird to appear behind the rabbit in distance.
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark onto a scrap piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock, heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder, and trimmed to create the whimsical arrangement.
The inside was layered to compliment the card front. The strip was from trimming down the original background image - a great reason to hold onto scraps while creating a project. The Mistletoe Magic was stamped with Sweet Sorbet. The fussy bird was colored to resemble a male cardinal while the front had his female mate. The Basic White Medium Envelope was stamped on the front and the flap to provide a sneak peek to the recipient of what was inside.

So cute Angie! That Wintry EF is a standout for a background, I missed it in the catalog. Now I'll have to start a wish list.
