Paper Pumpkin June 2022 Alternative

Hello friends!  I hope you are doing amazing on this last Friday of June.  Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration for alternatives you can create with your Paper Pumpkin June 2022 Kit.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!

Today's Project

My Product Spotlight this week is the Mischievous Mice Host Stamp Set that is retiring soon and I nearly squeaked with delight when I opened this month's box!  What I found inside was perfect to coordinate with these adorable mice!

Project Details

The inside of the envelopes were the first thing that caught my eye in the kit after I spotted the fruit, cheese and watercolor square on one the card fronts.  I was in love!  

The Deckled Rectangles Die was used to create an extended card front layer for the Mini Slim Line Basic White card base.  The watercolor square was fussy cut from a kit card base and die cut with the same Deckled Rectangle Die to create strips.  

Two strips were adhered together with a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive then aligned beside the die-cut rectangle to determine the desired length of the strip before die-cutting the edges. The die-cut rectangle was set aside.  The completed strip was adhered to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The Mischievous Mice image was stamped with Soft Suede ink onto Basic White cardstock, colored with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends markers and fussy cut.  The wildflower image was stamped with Soft Suede ink onto Basic White cardstock, colored with a Light Orchid Oasis Stampin' Blend marker and fussy cut.  The fussy cut images were arranged on the die-cut rectangle and then the sentiment was  stamped with Soft Suede ink directly onto the die-cut rectangle.  The fussy cut images were then adhered with Mini Glue Dots.  The assembled rectangle was adhered to the front of card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. 

The inside of the card was left blank for a handwritten note to a dear friend.  When the kit envelope was flipped over for a picture, I was tickled that I used the Deckled Rectangles with this card... and it got me thinking about another alternative that I will share later!
