Prized Peony Easter Card

Happy Easter! FREE FOR ALL is what you will see during this month's Kre8tors Blog Hop!  Many of us have been busy creating projects for our friends and loved ones this month so I am sure you will get your creativity boosted from this talented bunch of Kre8tors.  Relax and enjoy a cuppa while you gather some inspiration as you peruse along the hop!

Today's Project

The 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is retiring and the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog is coming soon!  Nothing like this in-between month where we can combine retiring, carryover and new products with our creations.  I enjoyed creating with this fun mix and hope that you enjoy them!

Project Details

Inspired by the traditional colors of white, purple, pink and green for Easter, I chose to color these lovely peonies with carryover and new Stampin' Blends Markers. The Prized Peony stamp set with amazing mixed font sentiments and coordinating dies is perfect for creating your own backgrounds to color in a wide variety of colors seen naturally in these beautiful blossoms.

Smoky Slate was used to stamp the large peony image on Basic White Cardstock.  The image was colored with the Fresh Freesia (2021-2023 In Color) Stampin' Blends Combo and the Light Parakeet Party (NEW 2022-2024 In Color) Stampin' Blend with a hint of Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend for shading.  The Celebrating You (January-June 2022 Mini Catalog) sentiment was stamped with Orchid Oasis and die-cut with a Stylish Shapes banner die (SNEAK PEEK 2022-2023 Annual Catalog).

The next card highlights my favorite die from the coordinating Peony Dies - the embossed scalloped edge - along with the Tasteful Labels Dies which I will miss dearly as they were my go-to set.

Smoky Slate was used to randomly stamp the large peony image along the edges of a Basic White Cardstock layer.  The images were colored with the Polished Pink (2021-2023 In Color) Stampin' Blends Combo and the Sweet Sorbet (NEW 2022-2024 In Color) Stampin' Blends Combo.  The Prized Peony (retiring soon!) sentiment was stamped with Smoky Slate and die-cut with a Tasteful Labels circle die (retiring soon!).  The silver Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and attached with a Mini Glue Dot.
