Hand-Penned Petals for #GDP329 |
I hope you're enjoying your day! The Global Design Project has a color challenge this week that I had to give a try.
These cheerful colors are so fun that I couldn't resist pulling out my Stampin' Blends to add some color to a get well card for a friend.
The Scalloped Contours scalloped frame was accented with 1/4" strips of Misty Moonlight, Magenta Madness and Mango Melody cardstock to fill the open scallops with pops of color! The strips also served as subtle layering for raising the frame off the Thick Basic White card base.
The Hand-Penned floral was stamped with Misty Moonlight onto Basic White Cardstock which was trimmed to fit within the Scalloped die-cut.
The large bloom was colored with Dark and Light Magenta Madness Stampin' Blends. The center of the small bloom was colored with Light Mango Melody along with Light and Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends Markers. Splatters were created by flicking the broad tip of the Light Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends Marker with the inside of the cap. The sentiment was stamped with Misty Moonlight onto scraps of Basic White cardstock which were die-cut with the Penned Flowers scalloped edge die. White Bakers's Twine was wrapped around the layer and tied off with a bow prior to the sentiment being adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The inside was layered and splattered to compliment the card front. The Basic White Medium Envelope was stamped and colored on the front and flap to give a sneak peek of what's inside.
I hope this has given you inspiration to use the Global Design Project challenges as inspirations for some of your card creations. Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world!
