Sweet Conversations for a Color Challenge |
Happy Monday, friends! Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration from a color challenge. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
Lots of fun for this cheerful Color Challenge! Inspired by a sweater I was wearing while creating this card, I enjoyed making some multiple cards to send to some special friends.

Project Details
Various widths 3-1/2" strips of the colors from the Color Challenge along with Smoky Slate and Basic White were adhered to a Basic White layer and embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.
All three sizes of the stamped images from Sweet Conversations were stamped in the challenge colors and die cut with coordinating dies. The hearts were all adhered to the one common 2" Basic White strip amongst the cards. The Count on Me sentiment was stamped with Smoky Slate ink onto Basic White cardstock and trimmed to strips adhered with remnant side strips from my Stampin' Dimensionals. TIP: I have set aside an empty dimensional package filled with these remnant strips set just for this purpose! Trim them off the sheets as each sheet has been used unless, of course, you find a need for them before the sheet is completely used. **wink**
The dangling heart is a double die-cut heart! Tear & Tape Adhesive was used for adhering the White Baker's Twine while a Stampin' Dimensional adhered both hearts together. The loop was slipped over the Iridescent Rhinestone with a bow tied around the loop to secure it.
The inside was layered to compliment the card front using a strip trimmed off of the card front panel. The Count of Me sentiment and image were stamped with Smoky Slate. Light Smoky Slate and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends were the color choices I used for the koalas.
More Inspiration
I hope you have been inspired to use these colors to create some special cards to share with someone to make them smile. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #7 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. You definitely don't want to miss any.
