Angels of Peace with Festive Foliage |
Hey y'all! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do! We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.
This month we are sharing things related to our Sounds of Christmas theme! I cannot wait to see all the different interpretations and inspiration that you will enjoy along the today.
Today's Project
Project Details
The precious angel image was stamped in Sahara Sand ink onto the center of a Very Vanilla Cardstock layer. The image was die-cut with the Tasteful Labels die using the extension method with partial die-cutting to fit the image.
The Festive Foliage background stamp was inked with VersaMark, stamped onto the die-cut negative and heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The For Unto Us sentiment was likewise stamped and heat embossed onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and die-cut with the Tasteful Labels die. Two additional die-cuts were made with the same die to layer up the sentiment.
The heat embossed layer and a second same size layer die-cut with the Stitched Rectangle die were aligned to adhere the angel die-cut with liquid glue. Adhesive Foam Strips were adhered along the edges of the rectangle to create a symmetrical border for the inside vantage point highlighting the angel die-cut. Gold Simply Elegant Trim was triple wrapped around the edge of the foam strips, criss-crossed and wrapped around the layers tying it off with bow on the front.
Very Vanilla scraps were adhered to the back to level the back before adhering to an Evening Evergreen Cardstock layer, a larger Very Vanilla Cardstock layer, and the Evening Evergreen card base.
The inside was layered to compliment the card front. The bottom layer was embossed with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. The For Unto Us sentiment was heat embossed onto a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock. The Angels of Peace sentiment was stamped with Evening Evergreen ink onto the Very vanilla layer. The envelope front and flap were stamped with sentiments from the Poinsettia Petals and Amaryllis Abloom stamp sets which complimented the fonts used with the card.
