Hello friends! I hope you are doing amazing on this thankful Thursday. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration for a Merry Christmas. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
Christmas can be such a hard for so many, so it's important for those we love and care about to make sure they know that we care. There's nothing like being with family and friends over the holidays and today's project celebrates just that!
Project Details
There is nothing like Navy and White for a classic card... I was needing another classic traditional style Christmas card for my Christmas mailings and thought the Merriest Moments Bundle would help create a card fast - and it definitely did that! Now to replicate a few of them before next week!
The Merriest Frames outline die was used to create the Silver Foil shadow layer. The detailed die was made with Basic White cardstock which was then embossed through the coordinating Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. The stitched sentiment panel was die-cut from Basic White scraps and stamped with Night of Navy ink.
Silver Simply Elegant Trim was wrapped around the lower section of the sentiment panel twice and tied off with a small bow. The panel was then adhered to the embossed layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. The detailed layers were adhered to a Night of Navy cardstock layer which in turn was adhered to the Night of Navy card base. You may wish to give this additional layer additional texture and/or elevate it with Stampin' Dimensionals instead of using Multipurpose Liquid Glue as I did. There are several more ways you can tweak this layout; however, I opted to keep it as clean and simple as possible allowing it to be a card that can be made in less than 30 minutes.
And we mustn't forget the inside... the layers were replicated and an extra detailed embossed panel was cut perfectly with the Paper Trimmer to create this bottom border to compliment the front. The envelope and envelope flap will be stamped when the card is being mailed.
