Color Blocking with Calming Camellia

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today I am hopping along with other members of Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Training Program.  I have learned so much through this training group since I first became a demonstrator that I had to participate in it once again as there is always something to learn.  We love doing our Monthly Team Blog Hops with our general theme for all the hops being customer and team thank you cards.

Today's Project

Today's project is a thank you card that I am providing to my customers this month as a thank you for their orders.  I love spoiling my customers and I hope that they enjoy my gratitude as much as I enjoy sharing new ideas and techniques with them.  This month the OhMi Inkspirations Team has a challenge to create some color block cards so I could not resist sharing this fun technique with my customers!

Project Details

Various combinations of ink and cardstock were created as Custom Artistry Paper (thanks to the inspiration from the lovely Michelle Last) and cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

The color combinations that I played with were:

      • Flirty Flamingo on Blushing Bride
      • Evening Evergreen on Soft Succulent
      • Bumblebee on Soft Saffron
      • Cherry Cobbler on Crumb Cake
      • Blackberry Bliss on Gray Granite
      • Night of Navy on Balmy Blue

The Very Vanilla cardstock layer was embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  Various patterns and color combinations have been arranged to create some additional cards.

The Amazing Thanks Dies were used for the sentiment adhered across the color block panels with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Four rectangles were die-cut from each of the six Custom Artistry Papers.  The majority of them were used for the remainder of the cards.  It was such an enjoyable process to mix and match the rectangles for each card... makes me wonder if it's this fun to choose pieces for a quilt!
