Today's Project

The minute I saw this color palette, I knew the stamp set that I wanted to use as the name of stamp set resonates so well with these colors!

Stampin' Up! Words of Cheer Christmas Card

Project Details

Basic White was selected to bring out brightness of these colors with coloring the image with my Stampin' Blends.  The Words of Cheer image was stamped Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with the Real Red and Bermuda Bay Blends Combo Packs.

Basic Pearl Jewels and Garden Gems were added as embellishments to compliment the double Elegant Trim bow adhered with Mini Glue Dots under the 1/2" strip sentiment banner.  For the creating the ends of the banner (aka fish-tailed), you can use your paper snips or grab a punch - I used my trusty Tailored Tags Punch.  The banner was also doubled up with 3/8" Basic White scrap strips (you know all those wonderful small strips you tend to have while cutting your cardstock) allowing for a perfect tuck of the bow.

And yes, it was hard to decide whether to have a double gold bow or a silver and gold bow so I made one of each.  I would love to hear which one you prefer in the comments...  I love the silver and gold bow personally!  **swoon**

Stampin' Up! Words of Cheer Christmas Card (inside)

The inside is just as important as the card front...  the layers were replicated as was the stamping.  The sentiments were all stamped with Bermuda Bay ink.  And don't forget to stamp the envelope front and flap for giving the recipient a sneak peek of what's inside.
