Seasons of Fun |
Hello friends! I hope you are doing amazing on this wonderful Wednesday. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Halloween Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration with you to help the kids in your life enjoy this candy-filled day. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
I have always enjoyed handing out goodies to the little ones on Halloween! There is nothing like seeing their adorable costumes and their faces light up when they see the Pepperidge Farms Goldfish that I share with them... and, of course, the older kiddos love all the candies! Now that we've moved to a non-neighborhood and my boy is a teenager, I miss these fun times of years gone by... but thankfully, I still get to get sharing some fun Halloween times with some special kids at heart at my parents' senior living community. What's on your bucket list for this Halloween? Mine is definitely filled with the light-hearted things like everything pumpkins, booing neighbors and drinking cider as I am not into the scary things!
Project Details
Focusing on making multiples, as this is a quick time saver for so many occasions, the mini slim line cards that fit perfectly in our Medium Envelopes is the fun size for little hands and/or big hands for those that we wish to share some fun with! All three card bases were created from one sheet of cardstock!
The Stamparatus was the perfect tool for creating the mirror image of this adorable Season of Fun trick-or-treater on skates with the assistance of the Silicone Craft Mat.
The stamped mirror image will usually be a tad lighter; however, once you color it with Stampin' Blends, it can be rather difficult to notice the outline difference... well, at least, to the recipient! You the creator of the project will always know which one it is. **WINK**
The coloring of these images was rather enjoyable using the Stampin' Blends! Ivory was used for the skintone; shades of yellow and browns for the curly locks (Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Light Daffodil Delight); oranges (Pumpkin Pie) for the pumpkin, top and leggings; greens (Old Olive) for the vine sprig and collar; brown (Cinnamon Cider) for the skates; and purple (Light Blackberry Bliss) for the wheels and shadows.
The Black & White Striped pattern from the Pattern Play 12" x 12" Host Designer Series Paper was colored with the Pumpkin Pie Combo and the Light Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends brush tip ends.
The inside layers were replicated to compliment the card front allowing for plenty of room to correspond with the recipients for whatever occasion during this fall season.
Being a host at this time of year can be such fun with the fall festivities surrounding us. Host a stamping party and you can earn this adorable stamp set and pack of Designer Series Paper with a qualifying order!More Inspiration
I hope you have been inspired to create a Halloween-themed card to share with someone to make them smile. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #4 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. You definitely don't want to miss any.
