Hello friends! I hope you are doing well on this wonderful Wednesday. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration related to our interpretations of the sketch. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
Such a fun simple sketch with lots of angles this month! I love a skewed angle to adhering a layer... so I definitely had fun with this and decided to make some of the angles curved.
Project Details
I needed some more Thanksgiving cards, so this sketch was perfect for playing with the Pretty Pumpkins stamp set. The detailed large image was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and emboss resisted with Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink. The Square Vellum Doilies created a delicate balance to the pumpkin. The blooming vine images were stamped in Crumb Cake and off-stamped on the Basic White card front layer. The fussy-cut sentiment was inked with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker to stamp the single word from the lengthy sentiment.
A second card was created using the same sketch and some of the same elements. The differences are the emboss resisted pumpkin was fussy cut and the vellum element was an Encircled in Beauty die cut.
The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the card front along with the front of the envelope and the flap. Can you guess which layout is my favorite?!? I must let you know, that it was a difficult choice as I love them both... but I do have a favorite. Comment below to let me know your guess and which one is your favorite!
More Inspiration
I hope you have been inspired to create a card using this sketch layout to share with someone to get them smiling. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #16 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. You definitely don't want to miss any.

Cute card Angie, love the elegant, monochromatic effect x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Angie, we are doing our first ever Thanks Giving dinner this year for my sons boyfriend who is from the US. Been thinking I probably should make a card as well. This is lovely and giving me some ideas :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are lovely but I think taking the time to cut out that pumpkin puts the card on the right at the top for me. Wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteLove both the cards. They are so elegant.
ReplyDeleteSuch elegant cards!
