Emboss Resist Technique |
Hello friends! I hope you are doing amazing on this terrific Tuesday. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration related to heat embossing. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
Heat Embossing was the first technique that I learned when I first worked with the Stampin' Up! demonstrator who is now my upline. And through heat embossing, I learned many other ways to use the embossing powder that I was so engrossed with. Inspired by a Christmas card that I made many years ago using the heat resist technique and a sponge dauber, today's card uses the same technique along with several other of my favorite techniques - the Baby Wipe Technique and Blending!
Project Details
The background was created with the Baby Wipe Technique using Bumblebee and So Saffron ink refills on a clear block to create my ink pad. The large floral Artfully Inked image was inked and stamped repeatedly to create a circle background on Basic White cardstock.
Two Christmas Season leaves were stamped with VersaMark onto the stamped background. The images were heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder twice to create an elevated image. Smoky Slate and Basic Gray inks were blended with a Blending Brush over the heat embossed images.
A strip of Basic Gray Cardstock was embossed with the Thanks Embossing Folder. The Heartfelt Wishes gratitude sentiment was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and fussy cut with Paper Snips.
The inside layers were replicated as well as the resist embossing to compliment the card front. The envelope front and flap were stamped using with Kissing Technique to replicate the look of embossing on the envelope.
More Inspiration
I hope you have been inspired to create a heat embossed card to share with someone to make them smile. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #15 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. You definitely don't want to miss any.
