Hand Penned Petals for Christmas |
Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am hopping with the Casually Crafting Design Team! This month's theme is a Sketch Challenge so there are sure to be quite a few inspirations to get your mojo going with some creativity. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
There's nothing like a sketch challenge to get you to think outside of your creative box! Do you see a bi-fold card in this sketch like I did? js are a favorite of mine as can copy it completely or tweak it a little as I chose to do. The
Project Details
The card base was created as a bi-fold card with a 3/4" strip of Gold Foil Sheet adhered with Tear & Tape Adhesive along the left flap. The Hand Penned Petals floral image was stamped with Gray Granite ink onto a Very Vanilla cardstock layer. The large floral fill image was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink, the small floral fill image with Bumblebee ink and the leaf fill images with Evening Evergreen ink. The receptacle and stems were randomly filled with a Light Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends Marker. The Evergreen Elegance sentiment was inked with VersaMark ink, heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, and fussy-cut.
The stamped layer was adhered to two Cherry Cobbler rectanglesl. A third rectangle was trimmed to fill the gap as a filler behind the layer. Stampin' Dimensionals were added to the back along with a smaller rectangle covering the back. A piece of gold Simply Elegant Trim, long enough to wrap around the card and tie off with a bow, was adhered to the left back side of the stamped layers with Tear & Tape Adhesive. The left side of the layers were adhered to the left flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Metallic Pearls were added as a finishing touch to the card front.
A 3/8" strip of Gold Foil Sheet was adhered on the inside left flap. The inside layers were stamped and off-stamped with Evening Evergreen ink to compliment the card front. The envelope front and flap were also stamped to compliment the card.
