Knit Together with Encircled with Warmth |
Hello friends! I hope you are doing amazing on this thankful Thursday. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Background Stamps Blog Hop as we share lots of inspiration related to, yes, background stamps. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
Creating cards with a background stamp can make the cardmaking process go so fast as long as you have the right tools. And with Stampin' Up!®, the right tool to have is the Stamparatus. The Stamparatus allows you to stamp the same background as many times as you wish... whether you're using one color or multiple colors! Inspired by some of my favorite Bright colors, I thoroughly enjoyed making today's Christmas card with Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay using my favorite background stamp at the moment - Knit Together!
Project Details
A piece of Basic White Cardstock was placed on the Stamparatus platform and I marked the corners for the placement of cardstock should it move during the stamping process. The Knit Together image was centered over the cardstock and picked up with plate. The top and bottom sections of the image were stamped with Coastal Cabana ink. The plate was lowered and pressed applying pressure with the palm of my hand where the ink was located. The plate was raised and the image was wiped clean with my damp Simply Shammy. The center section of the image was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink making sure to overlap the areas that were previously inked with Coastal Cabana.
The Encircled with Warmth sentiment was colored with Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Markers, stamped onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock, and die-cut with the coordinating Encircled with Beauty Dies.
The stamped background was adhered to a slightly larger Basic White Cardstock layer before both layers were randomly wrapped with White Baker's Twine and tied off with a bow. The sentiment die-cut was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Two So Many Snowflakes die cuts were tucked behind the sentiment. The wrapped layers were adhered to a Basic White Thick card base.
The inside layer and sentiment was coordinated with the card front using the Stampin' Write Markers again for the two tones. The fine tip end of the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Marker was used to fill in the open sections of the letters on the 2nd line. And for a fun touch, the envelope flap was stamped with the background stamp using Coastal Cabana. Stamping the flap required switching the plate to the second side to stamp a small section of the flap... so have fun doing this making sure to have some scrap paper handy to cover the front of the envelope. Believe me, it was worth the extra effort.

I hope you have been inspired to create a card or two with a background stamp to share with someone to make them smile.
