Coloring with Markers! |
Happy Saturday and welcome to my blog! Today I am hopping along the Ink.Stamp.Share Monthly Blog Hop as we share projects which we have created using this lovely Color Challenge created by Jo. We hope that we inspire you to create along with us. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
I had so much fun creating today's project! I love color challenges! We were required to use a minimum of three (3) and I chose to use all five (5)!
Don't you just love summer?!? I do especially when it's not too hot so you can enjoy being outdoors! There is nothing like being outside in the shade on a hot summer day when you look around and see beautiful color all around you!
Project Details
The Shaded Summer Stamp Set has some beautiful images to stamp with markers! You can stamp them in any color and however you like and they will give you an amazing array of colors. There is also a coordinating die set, Summer Shadows, with some intricate and outline dies.
The smaller detailed stamp image was colored with the brush tips of the Stampin' Write Markers and then I huffed my breath over the image to reactivate the freshness of the ink prior to stamping on the Basic White cardstock layer. This was repeated three times to complete the pattern on the card front. The left margin was blended with Petal Pink ink and a Blending Brush. The sentiment was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto a piece of Petal Pink cardstock. The sentiment layer was trimmed down and layered with three additional same color layers to create a solid elevated panel. Summer Shadow die-cuts were added behind the sentiment panel. Pearl Basic Jewels were added as the finishing touch. This decorated layer was adhered to a slightly larger Basic White cardstock layer. Three cardstock layers were stacked and adhered together for a floating look.
The layers and stamping were continued to the inside to compliment the card front. And as a finishing touch, the stamping was included on the envelope front and flap!
